Mr. David Piesse has more than 30 years of global insurance, financial services, information technology, risk management and telecommunications industry experience.  He has specialized knowledge of bancassurance, Islamic insurance, microinsurance, brokerage, agency and non-financial channels within global / Asia Pacific markets plus entry of insurance into social networks.  Prior  to leading UniRisx’s Asia Pacific operations, Mr. Piesse headed the global insurance and financial services, Asia Pacific practice for Sun Microsystems.

Mr. Hajime Matsui is a Senior Manager (Logistic & Loss Control) with Sompo Japan Asia Holdings Pte Ltd  He has been with Sompo Japan Insurance (formerly Yasuda Fire & marine Insurance Co. Ltd) since 1989.  He has more than 14 years of experience specializing in the areas of Property and Casualty insurance. 

With his majors in Safety Engineering, Mr. Hajime Matsui ventured into areas of business continuity management in 2001.  It was while he was with Sompo Japan America that he had a first hand BCM experience on the 11^th September tragedy.  With his vast experience in BCM, he presently provides BCM services for his clients. 

Mr. Mark Saunders is a Principal of Towers Perrin and Managing Director of the Risk & Financial Services Business (Tillinghast) in Asia-Pacific.  He is a member of the Global Leadership Council of Tillinghast.   He has more than 29 years of experience in the insurance industry and was involved in more than 150 actuarial appraisal value assessments of Asian insurers and is widely regarded as a leading practitioner in economic value determination and Mergers & Acquisitions of insurers in Asia.

Mr. Saunders is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries (UK), a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of India.

Mr. R. Raghunathan is presently the Head of the Reinsurance Business Operations for the broking firm Protection Insurances Services WLL at Bahrain.  He was with United India Insurance Co. Ltd for more than twenty-four years.  He specializes in promoting ART (Alternative Risk Transfer-Insurance, and financial markets) solutions for enterprises and insurance companies, corporate clients’ insurances, bancassurance and also projecting insurance as a Risk management tool for clients.  In addition, he is well known in the market for his expertise in Facultative and Treaty (XL). Handling of insurance claims was also his area and he holds a survey license from the Indian Insurance Regulator.

Mr. Sivam Subramaniam is currently Editor-in Chief of the Asia Insurance Review , the premier professional regional insurance magazine serving the information needs of insurance practitioners in Asia.  Being a  prolific writer and commentator, Sivam is very active in the regional and international insurance conference circuit including as speaker and advisor. Among other things, he is Chairman of the Singapore International Reinsurance Conference (SIRC), a member of the Geneva Association’s Communications Advisory Council; and a PR consultant to the Asean Insurance Council.  

Mr Tan Kin Lian, Director of Tan Kin Lian & Associates Pte Ltd and a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries, started his insurance career in 1966 in a local life insurance company. He has also worked in various positions as a computer programmer, organisation and methods officer and consulting actuary. He was formerly the CEO of NTUC Income Cooperative in Singapore.

Gary Swinfield is the Senior Vice President (Asia Infrastructure Practice) of March Inc. Singapore assisting and adding value to PPP, PFI, BOT, BOO, etc. clients in the ASEAN region.

A Quantity Surveyor by original training, Gary joined the insurance industry in 1992 as a loss adjuster working in the Middle East, specialising in construction and engineering insurance claims. He then moved to the Philippines to focus upon risk management. Gary also provided strategic risk management and claims advisory services to corporate clients.
