Main Activities

Seminars and Workshops for Insurance Regulators and Supervisors 

AITRI as to date (May 2013) has conducted 31 programmes for the insurance regulators of the region.   This is with the support of the ASEAN insurance regulators and many international organizations such as The International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS),  First Initiative, OECD, Give2Asia, Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions, Canada (OFSI), Toronto Centre and many others (see list of sponsors / supporters) 

Participants of our programmes are from our member ASEAN countries and also from Non-ASEAN countries such as Australia, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Bhutan, Cook Islands, Egypt, Hong Kong, India, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Lesotho, Macau, Mauritius, Maldives, Namibia, Nigeria, Nepal, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, New Zealand, Qatar, Samoa, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Swaziland, Taiwan and Turkey.

AITRI was appointed by the ASEAN Insurance Council (AIC) in 2007 to be the permanent secretariat (organizer) for the above two events.
